Training in usability testing: Understanding the fundamentals of usability

PTG Global’s approach to usability testing uses our world class user interface design methodology, XPDesign™, to ‘reverse engineer’ existing user interfaces to identify the fundamental causes behind observed usability issues.

Using a design method lets you create clear and practical solutions. You’re no longer making numerous ‘micro’ recommendations, but rather fundamental design changes that drive performance.

Usability testing with XPDesign:

  • Identifies the fundamental usability issues that will improve user performance
  • Cuts user interface change requests down to one or two cycles
  • Provides clear, justifiable designs to solve usability issues

Problems solved through PTG Global's training in usability testing

  • You’ve conducted your own usability testing but you’re not sure why the problems are occurring to make the right changes to the design
  • You keep making changes to the user interface after testing, but it’s still not right
  • You have a hundreds of UI change and don’t know where to start
  • You’ve been making changes to the application for years nothing seems to fix it properly
